Holiday Fair

It was so fabulous last year, I just had to do it again! Love's Freeway will make its last open-to-the-public, come-one-come-all stop this Saturday, and YOU are invited: come soak up the Love. And if there's anyone on your gift list who would appreciate a custom card, calendar, framed print, bookmark or inspirational book, so much the better! There'll be plenty on hand for you to browse, all displayed amidst the atmospheric opulence of the Gamble Mansion. Here are the specifics:

Saturday, November 17, 2007

10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

5 Commonwealth Avenue

Back Bay Boston, MA

And speaking of the Mansion, you may have heard that (sadly) the Boston Center for Adult Education has sold its gorgeous brownstone at 5 Commonwealth Avenue and will be transitioning to new headquarters on Arlington Street at the end of 2008. So there's one more reason not to miss this festive event: it will likely be the last of its kind, at least in these elegant quarters.

My every moment at BCAE these days is tinged with sadness: it will be hard to say goodbye to that most extraordinary setting. I have so many cherished, priceless memories of students, community, classes, lines of writing, smiles, tears--17 years of the great privilege of leading classes and workshops within their walls, from the library to the music room to the sewing room, and just about everything in between.

So come, just come, if only to tour the Mansion's magnificent rooms during the last little while we are still at liberty to do so!
